996 IMS and bore scoring

I know the IMS needs to be changed out on the 996's...I've owned 3 of them. But does anybody know of a shop in the Jacksonville, FL area that will replace them? My car collector buddy has told me all the local dealerships have turned him down.

On bore scoring, what years and models are subject to this problem? He has a 2002 996 and a Boxster Spyder.

TIA..

Nick

Jake raby is in Georgia, maybe not too far. I thought it was all the m96 and m97 engines, up to maybe 2009.

Gen 1 997 experienced bore scoring from what I understand. Gen 2 997's didn't have this issue.
