1980 911sc Weissach - market thoughts
Have a chance to buy a platinum metallic Weissach.
Body is pretty straight and original paint with one small dink in the back at the engine shelf. 7-8/10. In need paint correction Interior needs front seat reconditioning, headliner. And a bunch of miscellaneous work. – Is OK but not great. Engine, compression and leak down look good. 165-182. leak down all under 8% Unknown mileage. Guessing 50-80k Suspension, brakes, all oiil lines, a/c all need work. Not running well so we’ll need some CIS work. Overall the car needs lots of little stuff and a bunch of stuff A lot of deferred maintenance What’s the thought on the premium for a weissach over a straight up 911sc ? Very little documentation. Accidentally thrown away. Second owner. Thanks for your perspectives |

40k. No significant premium for weissach when it’s a driver condition car, IMO

Yeah, it seems like they’re asking for too much for a Premium. They want closer to $52k plus I need to ship it for $2K and of course, the California sales tax is close to another $ 5K. There are just so many things that need attention. With paint correction I think the exterior could be 8.5-9 of 10. Solid original paint. I paint metered all of it, and it looks as if only one little spot near the lower front left valance was was sprayed.
It is so tough to find these models, but the premium seems really high. |
