3rd Party Vender Issues!
 

Gonna get flame sprayed, but here we go. . . On 31 July 2025, I placed an order for the rear bumper pads for my 83 911 with the company that used to be Automotion. Mea Culpa to Pelican: They had a discount sale for the pads, Pelican didn't, and $250.00 saved is $250.00.

They gladly took my money, sent me an invoice, dated 31 July. On 3 August, I sent an e-mail status check and received a response (canned) on 4 August telling me that it would take a week to prepare the delivery.

Their on-line stock check revealed that they had one right pad and six left pads so a delivery delay should not have been an issue. As yet (9 August), nothing. I have previously purchased parts from them with absolutely no issues so this is not my initial transaction with said company.

So, are they (SMC) playing games?

Bought once from Sierra Madre Collection (SMC), thought the part was unavailable here.

Never again.

Returned the not as promised part on principle, yes you pay for the return shipping too.

Super. I'm just in San Diego. I could of walked up to LA picked these things up and walked home by now. . .
