Found a 1984 Carrera 3.2L here in Mass locally and had a question on what this car might be worth. Here is what I know.
Car has the following: 84,000, Black exterior (7.5/10) black interior (7/10) and black headliner. PW, AC, unfaded/non-cracked dash, Bilstein suspension, appears to be normal ride height. Has been sitting outside 1 year but was formerly a Virgina garaged car. Needs tires and probably a light going over and a buff. Trunk lid needs to be resprayed - whale tale is flaking. Overall, appears to be a solid car. Have not seen records, but owners claims to have loads of records from the former owner. Asking price is $15K which is what he claims to have paid. In my opinion it needs truck respray ($400), tires ($800), tune-up ($300) and the Fuch's polished ($400) to be a nice daily driver. I was thinking an offer of $12,000 would be more in lines with the condition of this car. Any thoughts? |

Records are very important so you have some kind of a baseline as what the car has gone through. 84,000 miles and $15,000 seems quite fair however the fact that the car has been outside for a year may be worth a small decrease. With the low mileage, this car might go fairly quickly. Post pictures if you have them. I' d say offer 12k and be prepared to meet at 14k.
