DOT paperwork on eurocars

I am thinking about buying a euro gray market car. The owner does not have the DOT paperwork from several owners ago. If he just has a title from Utah, is that enough to register the car in another state.

Short answer...it depends on the state where you will be registering the car. Some are easy; some are very strict, like CA.

You'll also want to see if the car has the DOT/EPA badge which is usually on the driver's side door jam; this would indicate that the car did go through the proper importation process. If so, you can also call EPA nd DOT (do a search on this forum) and get reissued paperwork.
