Hello all -
I am getting my 83 911sc cab ready for sale. I have owned it for the last five years, and although I have greatly enjoyed driving and working on her, I've got a bum hip which makes getting in and out a real pain in the, well, lets just call it the hip ;-) So I have decided to let her move on to another owner, one who doesn't gripe with each entry or exit. . . . my question is, what are your collective thoughts on value? I saw the Excellence chart for August, but am still interested in other feedback prior to listing here and elsewhere. Details: 1983 911SC Cab 123,xxx miles (I bought about 5yrs ago with about 100,xxx) Petrol Blue, Cashmere tan interior, black top (no rips - clear cab window), black leather Ridgard custom seats. Some of the details of recent work done to her: Pop off valve Stomski shift coupler New shift cup bushing New shift tunnel bushing New solid motor mounts New clutch cable Swepco tranny fluid/flush Momo Course steering wheel Momo Leather Shift nob and leather shift boot Rennline Pedals, including dead pedal Sony Xplod headunit w/ front AUX inut for ipod Turn Signal Switch brake lines / flush Cab locking mechanism (the cam that locks into the front windshield) I have regulary maintained her and she just passed NJ state inspection with no problems. I've never had a break down or any problems with her. The paint is still shiny and waxes up nicely, but does have a fair share of chips on the nose, edges of doors etc. Interior is good, but has small dash crack and need for new floor mats. The Fuchs have no road rash but are tired and could use a little visit with Al Reed ;-) I will post pics on Monday, but am curious what the collective veiw is on the board. Also, if anyone has an interest, I am located in South Jersey, right near Philadelphia . .. Thanks in advance! Adam |

Adam - As a fellow SC Cab owner, I am curious what the market is? I would lke to think you would get close to $20k, but mid to high teens is probably more realistic. Good luck. BTW - I paid mid $20's about 5 years ago and despite all my upgrades I'd be surpirised to be able to get that?

Hey Vance
Thanks for the reply . . . . I am thinking high teens also. I don't think that the aftermarket stuff will increase value too much. I'll let you know when it gets to real #s - (offers/sale) Adam |
