84 Cab ??!!
Viewed an 84 911 cab for sale locally;
ad states: new top, new brakes, cd player, drives great. car prestented ok. paint a little nicked and scratched, front seats worn and ripped, driver ext door handle broken, missing sun-visor etc... no drips at parking spot, no smoke when started. 175,000 miles. No records. $13900 not registered/ insured no ride/ drive today. should i? is it worth pursuing? what is there to know about 84 911s? any feedback appreciated!

It does not sound like that car was well taken care of for a 911. The price is okay but not a deal as prices of these cars has become rather stagnant. I think you could get away with offering $12 or 12.5k.

I know of a car out here (Cali) with 126K miles that you could get for that price, maybe cheaper (plus shipping of 1000 dollars to FL), and it doesn't have any problems. Paint literally looks new, top is excellent, seats have 1 crack about 2 inches long. I think the car has a new clutch and I know it doesn't leak 1 drop of oil. It also has a different intake and exhaust, orig fuchs and 1990 Porsche Cab wheels, etc. I only didn't buy the car because I decided I want a coupe instead. This car sounds 10 times nicer for the same price FWIW
