Value of very nice 73 1/2 T
 

I have a 73 1/2 T , with CIS. Fresh bare metal repaint, motor has about 6k on it. Metallic blue, beautiful car. Dash has a few cracks, rear in drivers seat, the rest of interior is very good, new headliner. Mechanically car is excellent.

Hard to say. $18K would be a guess, pending other info. This Summer, the market for early 911s has gone spotty.

If the car were in a major metro area it would be worth maybe 15% more than it is in Montana, but that's just a rule of thumb. The right buyer, seeing the car in person, might pay a stronger price than somebody who has three to choose from.

I'll agree with your assessment about 911 market, it is not as strong as it used to be. I figured this was a 18-20 K car. I have not really had that much luck with anything but ebay for 911's that near as nice as this one.

I own a restored 73.5T and have been watching the market as well. These cars in excellent condition are still going for a premium, because simply, their ain't too many around that nice anymore! Even if your in remote Montana, a serious buyer would gladly pay the freight for a nice collectible. Its all in the marketing and its where you advertise. The 1973.5T/CIS have black front air vents (next to headlights). I was wondering why you changed out to the chrome pieces as well as the front spoiler, that was not original equipment. I am not saying your car does not look fantastic, its just originality will always attract a serious collector faster. I would say that from what you said about condition, I would not hesitate to ask in the low-mid twenties and thats advertising nationally (Excellence, PCA Panorama, Rennslist, Porsche 911T Registry site, etc.) for starters. You have a great car that is only going to get more desireable as the SC's and early Carrera's struggle to find their place in the sun. Longhoods are always admired and every air-cooled P-nut I have ever talked to, would love to own one.

I did not make those changes, I am trying to fix as many of the little issues like that I can. The work was done by someone who didn't really understand the value of keeping car original. I do not have the fan sticker right now. In fact I have removed all the old gold foil stickers and will be repainting the rear area soon for a set of new stickers. Over time the heat seems to loosen and damage these. Good luck with the sale. You might want to check out on the web, the Porsche 911T registry page where they have a classified section for selling and even offer a nifty 911T decal.

The 'S' spoiler was an option on the '73.5 T. I know. Mine had it.
