A new concept in selling?
The Idea:
A for sale video. Especially in a high end car, but I think it will work for a moderate car as well. We have been trying to get our filming company off the ground for track days but, we hit a problem. Lack of time and the unwillingness to leave our families every weekend to attend track days and races. So we were talking with some friends. My brother works around the the car sale industry and mentioned our idea to a customer who felt it was a great one. I am looking for a seller in Florida that wants to make a Car Sale Video. Our idea is to showcase the car, if you want to show off its performance and want us at a track with you great we can do it. If you just want some good footage of the car this is even easier. We can post your for sale add on our website and then spread it to you tube, streetfire and google video, the exposure would be great. You can also link the video to your for sale adds. My proposal to you: I am looking for someone in Florida that wants to do this. I am offering this for free to the first 1 or 2 people that contact me via PM here on Pelican. Once we get a good format going and work out the kinks I hope to make this into a business of sorts. So contact me and let me know if you want to participate with me on this. Thanks! Great idea Jim. Its no coincidence many car manufacturers use product placement to sell cars. Every Bond movie of recent vintage has the latest/greatest BMW has to offer. Think Italian Job and the Mini springs to mind. Stills are great but don't convey the emotion that video does. Luxury homes are sold this way and the cost is mitigated by the appeal video creates.
Keep us posted on your progress and good luck. Making money doing something you love is the revenge.

This technique is common for medium to high end yacht sales.
I sold an airplane using the old video camera method, years ago.
