I would say no way. You could easily need another 10K-12K just to get it right and its still has a salvage vehicle. There's plenty out there for that kind of money. Whats to say the tranny and engine, suspension aren't all shot??

Short answer ------No way!

Paying for this car is comparable to paying for your own castration.

thanks guys! I sat out on this one. I am just way low on my budget (around 10k) and want a 3.2 to start out with.
perhaps i am dreaming. I'm not looking for a gem... rather a fixer upper. |
You will save yourself much headache by continuing to save your money to buy nice example, either SC or Carrera. There are countless tales on this page to support this. For every one thing you know about when buying a fixer upper there are five things you'll discover along the way. Fun? Perhaps. Expensive? You bet. You'll spend much more fixing than you would buying a nicer example. It's much more fun driving than wrenching.

I've heard too many stories of Porsche's purchased for $10,000 and suddenly needing 5000-8000 in repairs within a year where as a $13,000-15,000 SC will most likely be trouble free if maintenance is up to date and the PPI passes with no significant issues. Good luck on your quest. :) |
There is no way I would ever purchase that car... even if you are not looking for a gem.
As has been repeated, I purchased a gem. Paid top dollar for it. Hvae put very little into it. Still runs perfectly. |
x2 on saving and getting something later. it gets expensive fast on fixer uppers... especially this one - at least from the pics.
