Paying up to $4000 for boxster top-end rebuild

Paying up to $4000 for repairs to my '00 Boxster. It probably needs a top-end rebuild.

How much is a new "factory warrantied" motor? I didn't think you could even "rebuild" these newer motors. Might find a motor from a wreck for less $$.
