72t Mfi

I know, shame it's a T !

I haven't posted for ages, but I do pop in for a read now and again.
I'm thinking of selling my 72T (and my TVR).

I've been looking at ebay to try to guage pricing. There is a 66 that is currently at $3691 with a few hours to go. Engine does not start and the body sounds a little worse than mine.

My car is a driver, MFI working correctly (speed switch ops the cut off sol, so no excess fuel in oil) and the black thing going to the filter from the hot bits with the air temp thermostat is present and working.

Can I compare my 72 to this 66 or is it apples and oranges.

Oil leaks, well I have had a small leak under right rear wheel arch when running, that I thought I had fixed a couple of times (joke) loose nut on cooler and then seepage on the oil run in the upper wheel arch. (72 has different oil run) So this may be fixed or may not! It needs a couple of good runs for me to state "it is fixed"
Currently stored, shame really as it's a great day here, over 60F!

Engine has no leaks, but the underside of the SWEPCO'd 915 is dirty.

My car does need a lot of body work to turn it into a garage queen. It has some "bondo" from PO that has risen.
So it's sell it or do it.

I was thinking of using Ebay for advertising (or selling) but would prefer to sell to a person who has seen and driven.
Don't get me wrong, I do want a decent price (fair) but would like it to go to a good home.

And yes it has those horrid black vinyl seats with the mini head rests.

All comments welcome,
Cheers
Jeff

Well the 66 rust with rust in the pan went for just over 7,200

More than I expected.
Is a 66 that desirable?
What is the cost of a windows out body repair and paint.

Jeff,
I would say the 66 is probaly a little more desirable from a collectors standpoint right now. A 72 would be more valuable as a driver. I would do more research than just ebay, lots of valuation guidelines for a 911,
Phil
