By the time I saw the add, it just said flagged by Craigslist users, no other details.

Matt, Thanks for the notice on the ad. It's helpful in trying to figure out what's going on.

That craigslist ad was promoting an auction for the 71T at $9700. That was the current bid, not the sales price. It got flagged down because it violated the terms of use clause about other sites.

And because the car was no where near reserve or its buy it now price. On top of that, it was being sold by fast classics or sears point classics. Look up Wayne Kreiger for that sad story. Craigslist flaggers did someone local a favor.

I monitor Craigslist regularly and I notice that almost *every* ad that solicits to *BUY* early cars is FLAGGED by users. I'm not sure if this is CListers who just don't want anything but sellers listing, or what.

My pet peeve with CL are the spammer's who dump every automotive-related keyword in the dictionary into their post. I've emailed a few of them back with my opinion of this practice, but you can imagine the results that produced ;-).

Craigslist regulations prohibit posting want ads in the for sale categories. There is a separate 'wanted' page where wtb ads are supposed to go. Seems a little weird, but thats how its set up.

You are correct...thanks for the heads up!
