'67 911S values...through the roof? $30K for a project car...

I had always heard that the '67 S was not as desirable as the '70-'73 911S due to the short wheelbase and lower power with carburetors.

This ebay auction sold for $30K for a project car, but one which was a perfect base for a full restoration:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ih=020&sspagename=STRK%3AME WA%3AIT&viewitem=&item=300081374166&rd=1,1

This sale was legitimate and was discussed here:

Was this within reason or completely over the top? Have '67 S cars surpassed the value of the injected ones? What do top '67 S coupes sell for these days?

I think the SWB cars have surpassed the LWB 911's. in valuation It's seems as market a gone crazy over the early 911's. Now having said all that at the very high end of market all the excellent cars are fetching pretty strong money.
