InterCity. Haven't used them myself but my dad has. Moved his 914 from Mass to FL. Approx $1500. Fuel prices are a little cheaper than back when he moved his car. Door to door service. Enclosed transport with updates available on how the car/trip is progressing.

I used Intercity Lines when I bought my 87. $900 from San Diego to Seattle. That was back in 2000 before the gas hike.
Great transport company tho. All enclosed and speedy.

I had my '84 shipped to my door here in Wisconsin from the Philly area by InterCity Lines. $1070 total ($1000 for shipping, $70 fuel surcharge). Perfect transaction. The car was pampered and the service was exceptional. I kept in close contact with the prior owner and he felt they treated the car very well when picking it up.

I had a car shipped from Wisconsin to CA for $1200 last June. Unfortunately, I can recall the shipper. May have been Intercity. Wasn't in an enclosed trailer.

Intercity only rolls with enclosed trailers. I used them to moive a 73 911 from the Cape down the NJ. $700!!! Wasn't cheap but they did a good job. Wish I could have just drove it myself. Save the money and enjoy a few lobsters on the way down...
