Any 928 gurus here
 

I'm "kind of" in the market for a 928 automatic--probably an S4, to use as a "shared" car with my wife for our outings around town and the occasional longer trip. She doesn't like riding in whatever my current 951/S2/Boxster is and I don't get any thrills piloting the C230K. Anyway, I'm trying to get a feel for what is a good deal on one of these. Probably an S4. Must be automatic. I found this one on CL and it looks super clean and I love the black/cashmere (tan?) combo.

Rennlist has a big following for 928s, try going there for info.

S4 autos are very nice cars, but to be a casual 928 owner you need to find a good 928 mechanic in your area. Do not buy a 928 without a Pre Purchase Inspection. It is asking for trouble. You should be able to get a nice S4 for maybe 14 K. allow a couple more for immediate maintenance. Really nice low mile units can go for 17 +
