To me that is the going rate - not an exceptional deal. If it was in showroom condition it would be a different story but even the ad calls the condition 8/10.

Judging by mileage, perceived condition and price, I'd say yes, a good buy. That is, after it passes a PPI...

Seems a bit pricey to me. Lots of 3.2 Carreras showing up in
that range, and it's a Targa.

I just looked at it again. I was thinking it was an '84 or newer (3.2 car). Sorry... I agree, the price is OK at best. The mileage is nice though.

It would be a fair price on the East Coast with that mileage and the motor checks out ok.
Place by me just sold a red 83 Targa with 110,000 miles for $18,000

Probably $5000 more than he'd get in So Cal. About 18 months ago, I was considering an '84 coupe that needed cosmetic work, about the same mileage, and the guy was having trouble drawing interest at $13,000. And the prices here continue to drop.
