What's this project '74 911 worth?

My dad has a 1974 911 that has been rebuilt but is not in 100% running condition. The body is red and in very good shape - it was repainted ~10 years ago and has mostly sat in a garage since. New rotors, rebuilt calipers, new master cylinder, SS lines. Suspension is old. Interior is in good shape, but with the infamous dash fissure. The engine has basically zero miles on it after a rebuild (done by him & I, machining work outsourced) with all the important upgrades (carrera tensioners, turbo valve cover, time certs / dilvars, etc etc), has S cams and stock CIS injection. The engine turns over but idles poorly and is down on power. It has sat in the garage in this state for over 2 years because he simply has no time and I live many states away and cannot help.

My parents are moving across the country and the car needs to be sold within ~2 months in its current condition. What do you guys think its worth and where should he advertise? ebay?

He's done some quick troubleshooting, but the only conclusion he drew is that pulling the ignitor wires on a couple of the cylinders didn't change the engine tone, so it at least seems the car isn't firing on all cylinders. Cam timing was checked and rechecked. Fuel delivery was tested on a few cylinders, but not exhaustively. Compression was tested on a couple cylinders, but not exhaustively.

I don't believe these two details are compatible, The S cams being too aggressive for CIS fuel injection. Also the stock compression ratio may be too low for those cams as well.

I would ask about this on the engine rebuild forum, it may be the problem

I thought I remember reading in Bruce Anderson's book that those cams are compatible with the CIS system. Thanks for the reply, though, I'll look into it.

Where is the car located? I would say that you might have a $4500 to $6000 dollar car. The mid year cars aren't that sought after. BUT yours is a 1974 and if you are in california a 1974 doesn't have to pass a smog test. COuld be worth something to a calfornian?
