Would 911-930 parts work in a 912?

I have an opportunity to look at a 68 912, and was wondering
if It could be a canadate for the widebody (930 or 933) look ?
I've read some threads here that indicate the wheel base is shorter on those models, so I thought to ask if that would cause any issues with a body make over.
I would want to have the correct fuchs on it as well, so I guess the suspension parts would need switching. Is it possible?
Has anyone here done anything like this? Will a 911 drive train bolt up to one of these without problems?
What will , and will not work for my idea.
Thanks for any suggestions.

Porsche lengthened the wheelbase for the 1969 year. As such, a widebody on a short wheelbase car will just look a little bit off.

Not sure the scope of your project but, it might be better served with a later car that already has a good 911 motor in it. Spending $$$$ to convert a 912 to look like a 930, imho, may not be worth the effort, given the number of available (better) cars to start with.

Good point racer. Since I posted that, I've been reading some threads at the 912 BBS, and what all they've done to them. Mostly SC flares, and short hoods/bumpers, for the more modern look.
Thanks for the input!
