916 transmission

Hi guys

First I do not know how to go about verifying what the transmission is in my car so any tips would be greatly appreciated. It's my understanding that it in a 916 transmission. I am also told that many people would be interested in purchasing this should I deciede to sell it and would even offer a pretty penny for it. I think I would be happier with a wevo transmission for my car instead. So as cool as it is to say you got a peice of porsche racing history in your car going thru the gears of a wevo case would make me much happier.

Anyways just wanted to get some input on the subject and how to go about verifying I have what I am told I have. Also the market value of it.

This is what a factory 916 transmission looks like.

I don't know the current value, other than if you have a genuine factory 916 transmission, it would be worth quite a bit.
