1968 911S curiosity
A restored 1968 911S in seemingly good condition (but with quite a few incorrect parts as far as I can tell) was listed today on Ebay. The seller indicates that you can take it home for $8,800.
If some of the photos of the underside are anything to go by, it looks like there's probably been some serious chassis work. Could this be a case of less disclosure than might be appropriate? My bet is he's betting that it'll get bid way, way up. There's a 1968 911L up right now that's already at $10k. What do you all think? Is this a possibly great deal waiting to happen, or is something not quite right? Item number: 300114584297

IIRC, Porsche did not import the 911S in 1968 due to emission reasons. The 911L was introduced and carried all the "luxury" of the S but not the motor.

Yeah, but lots of ROW 1968 "S" made it into the US via the grey market. Seen quite a few in SoCal. In any case the auction has been erased and was probably a scam.
