74 carrera w/ non matching # 2.8 value
Just curious to see what folks think about the value of this car on ebay
Thanks. |
It's not as valuable as the Euro 74 Carrera which has the RS-spec engine. US$23,100 seems high to me for a non-matching US Carrera, but I'm not an expert. :)

I find this type of car extremely difficult to quantiy because it is a car "you" made/interpreted/enjoy and not a factory car. Once you modify a car you diminish, imho, the pool of interested people. To get a price for this kind of car, I would start with the base car value (A *brown* 1974 911 Carerra) and figure out in my head what it would cost one to replicate. Then figure 25-30 cents on the dollar to come to a "fair price".
So, while you may have 40K invested, it is NOT a factory 2.7 MFI 1974 Euro Carerra. It is a modified us car. Maybe $25K, but only to one looking for a car with the mods you have made. To everyone else, it is worth a lot less. |
Not only does it not have a matching engine, it doesn't have matching bumpers! (ie the color doesnt match the rest of the car).
Still looks like a fun car. Can you really pull 275hp out of a 2.8? |
