Repost: 911ST race car (clone) value

We have a local person interested in our car but aren't sure where to price it.

The goods:

Originally a totally rust-free '73 S
Non-sunroof
Fully stripped
Full cage carefully installed to maximize interior room
ST flares front and rear (glass front fenders and rear quarters)
Carbon fiber doors
Glass lids front and read (mounted duck tail, extra flat engine lid)
Large Wilwood brakes front and rear (with prop valve by drivers seat)
RSR struts & coilovers
2.5 short stroke w/MFI, heads have twin plug but currently set up as single plug w/dist.
Carrera cams
Great gear box with good gears for the engine, 901 mainshaft
8&9 x 15 fuchs
Alum. Fuel Safe fuel cell

This car is CLEAN, well-built, and quick.

The down side is that it hasn't been on track in 2 years and it is kinda between classes. Not "modern" enough for front of the pack Porsche Club racing but a little too updated for true vintage (coilovers and big brakes jump it up to the big displacement classes for vintage).

Thoughts on value?

Very nice car. Is the motor the original 'S' built out to 2.5? That will help the value a bit.

For the right buyer, maybe 40K or more, assuming the details are right. But it could be a long wait.

Should move in a reasonable time for high 20s, low 30s

Flares look wide for ST. Are they 'correct?'

What would it cost to make the car fit into a "correct class"? I would take that into consideration when pricing the car. What are other similar cars going for?

Lose the coil springs and replace with torsion bars (+R&D) for maybe $1000
Go to "S" brakes for maybe, what, $1000.
Install the flat rear lid - free.
=They'd probably let you run group 8 in SVRA.

PCA you can run GT-4 straight up but not necessarily competitive (that class goes to 2.7 I think and shock type and brakes are wide open, lots of serious cars there).
You wouldn't be at the rear though.

I don't know about POC or SCCA or NASA.

Yeah, it started out as an S motor (case numbers are for an S).

I'm pretty certain the fenders are correct, at least by what GT Racing says.

I've thought 40K would be a good deal for us, 25K would be a great deal for the buyer. 30-35K most appropriate.

It is in Ohio. (but it isn't up for "public" sale right now)
