1971 Porsche 911 T Low miles!

Hello all- I am a long time visitor of this forum and enjoy it very much. I woud like to get some input from this forum on my car I am planning to sell. It is a low mileage 1971 911 T (72,000 miles). The car is for the most part an unmolested vehicle. The car was restored in the mid 80's. It has a fiberglass S bumper and and H4 headlight upgrade. In addition, the following, has been completed on the car. Rebuilt trans, new clutch, short shift kit, new master brake cylinder, oil tubes replaced, torsion bar replaced. The original 2.2 L engine is very srong and shifts very well. I am the third owner and have had it for 4 years now. Take a look at the photos and let me know what you think I should sell it for

I noticed your price on your ad in the For Sale section. I'd up that price by about $10k and start there. If this car is rust free, you'll sell it in about 6 minutes with that price tag that it's currently at...

I have set the price at $14,500. I think that should get some attention!

Again, unless this car is in need of a full motor rebuild, I feel that you should be starting at $24,500 verses $14,500...

Where have you been seeing 1971 911 T Targas selling for mid 20's. Don't get me wrong, my car is pretty nice and the motor is far from needing a rebuild......its just breaking in at 72,000 miles.

perspective

Any low mileage, rust free, mechanically sound 911 from pre 74,will sell for more than your price. There lots of variables, but,if I were you ,I would replace the updated look for original pieces,e.g., mirrors, black trim, horn grills and whatever else lirks there that I can`t see. Then you are in the 20,000 category.Truly original "T"`s are in the 30K plus level.Spend some time hunting the right parts down and you will have a car that reflects that effort from a price standpoint.

I have been getting countless inquires about the car from all over the world and have been getting all sorts for offers/trade options. People need to feel comfortable about a purchase if they are not able to come and see it in person....so there has been alot of emails flying.
