As the old saying goes, "a rising tide raises all boats" and the 912's are being affected. My advice is to look for a 912 just as if it were a 911--meaning, scrutinize it for the same qualities and defects as it's essentially the same car. IMO, top quality "A" cars bring prices in the high teens and low twenties with lesser cars moving down the scale. They are still underpriced, I believe, but are catching up fast. Don't forget that to rebuild a 912 engine at a first class shop will cost you nearly as much as a 911 as parts and mechanics are getting scarce. If you haven't done so already, ask your question at the 912 Registry--a good group of people.

Very collectible. Restored ones do really well. Restored ones with Period correct flat-six engines installed sell close to what actual 911's sell for. Considering they are the same as a 911 in all practical aspects, I would suggest buying one that is 90% done and you can finish the rest in a couple of weekends.
