Re-Painting for rockchips???

I have some stone chips on the front of my 84 Carrera, Black, of course. Question is, the car has never been in an accident, never had a paint gun put to it, obviously trying to match black can be done, but in all likelyhood, it would be the whole car just so its done right, but do I run the risk of having resale issues with a complete or partial repaint for stone chips, or should I just leave it as patina as in all likelyhood, more will be added to its 24 year collection.

I recently had some deep scratches on my front hood near the emblem, and front bumper as well as spiderweb lines around the headlight rings painted (Guards Red) on my 86 Carrera. The painter did a great job, perfect match and I would say it adds to the value of the car more than before. It was definitely worth it, the car looks so much better.
