Long hood sportos?
What do you guys think about the '69 - '73 sportos? I have a '71E that I am converting back to sporto. Good idea or bad?
If it's not worth it now, how about in 10 years? 20? Personally I think it will be pretty cool. I have a 901 and a 915 in my other cars, so this is just something a little different. There can't be many out there. That alone does not necessarily make it better, but IMHO still pretty cool. ![]()

Do you like driving a Sportomatic? Too me, that's all that matters, life is far too short to worry about resale value. Personally, I would never be happy without three pedals. I was offered a choice of the original, numbers matching 2.4, or a RS like 2.7 in my car. It was the simplest choice ever, having driven it with the 2.7. Who knows, in ten years time, driving classic cars on public roads might be illegal, so make your car something you enjoy driving today. Resale value? You never know, keep the sporto on the shelf in case....
