going to europe - I think I'll take a Porsche...
but which one? Any of the european Pelicans have a handle on the most desireable of the CA P-cars? I'm thinking if I take a good, older, 911 with no rust, in decent shape, that I could sell the thing once I'm over there for a good profit. Is this plan flawed?

I know money is money, but it would be nice to keep good US cars in the US

A long hood in any condition, and purchased reasonably, would sell for the highest return on investment. A 912 would work just as well.

Longhood. Rust free is a must.
When you import the car you will either pay import duties (17.5% of the value of the car) or if you take it in as a personal import then you will not be allowed to re-sell the car for 12 monhts. And cheating on the value of the car is getting more and more difficult. Sometimes they actually look at what you could sell it for rather than what you paid for it to establish the tax. Good luck! |
