930 value
1987 930 100,000 miles. Interior is 5/10 and engine has major leak at bottom of #6. Shop says repair could be $5000 or complete rebuild w pistons at $10,000 (has not opened it up). Has K-27, upgraded intercooler , fuel enrichment, 1 bar and headers. Body is fine. Dealer stuck with car and wants offer. Any purchase price ideas? Thanks.

That 10k guess could be low. Especially if while you're in there you went with cams, fuel head mod, or better yet EFI 3.5 pistons, etc. Offer low. Can't hurt.

930s are expensive to fix! Who cares about the interior you are going to rip it out anyway?
I agree go low. |

I would spend alot more money and buy a nicer car unless you are really good mechanic.
