1968 911S Targa - What's it worth?
Haven't seen it yet. Claim is that it's a matching numbers, no rust, just repainted, just rebuilt '68 911S Targa. I know that's not a lot of detail, but what sort of prices would this bring based on a range of conditions?

Hi Lee,Based on my limited experience with that model,anywhere from 50-100K is possible.Not having seen this one,it`s hard to tell.A 68 912 SWT sold last night on e-bay for 35,000 in excellent condition and the 68S that R Cabell offered to me at 50K sold 2 years later for north of 100K so there is a big spread.There were only 442 made,so it`s rare, and that was the year they were not imported.A very nice one is in the middle of that range.

It will be interesting to see if this one ends up on Ebay. If I had to do over I would have at least looked at it. $40K seems high, but I guess it was really on the low side for this car.
