A big THUMBS UP! to Ryan aka Car Guru and to Salerno Motorsports in Rocklin, CA
I just got back from Sacramento last night, after an Epic two day drive home in my new 20 year old 911. (see pic below) What a ride!
![]() Ryan was great from start to finish: friendly, up front and easy to work with. The car is just as he said it was, a 20 year old beauty. His missus also deserves an honourable mention for getting up early in the ayem to humour (and help out) us two crazy guys. Salerno motorsports did the PPI for me. The owner, I think his name is Ben, was a real pro: knowlegable, very businesslike and a good communicator. (I finally managed to make him chuckle by noting that the infamously complex 991 A/C system looked like it was designed by Martha Stewart) He went out of his way to accomodate our schedule and my desire to see the car while it was still up on the lift - a mechanic's eye view. His shop is very well organized and he clearly has happy customers given the cars he had in there. Now I need to find a Ben up here in Seattle to take care of my baby. In summary, I would deal with both of them again in a heartbeat and would recommend both without hesistation. Ryan, I hope you're able to rejoin the community again someday. You know you've got the bug... it's only a matter of time. Ian. ![]() ![]() |

+1 for Ben at Salerno Motorsports. He's kept my car in tip top shape for the last 10 years.
