Good guy to deal with! A+ in my book.

WPOZZZ 05-01-2008 04:41 AM

It's an AIR slantnose kit from the 80s with RUF wheels. It also appears that they covered the oil filler door. One came into my friend's shop a couple years ago and it was a flashback to the 80s!

Eric, thanks for a kind word . That was awesom meeting and dealing with you. I felt like kid next to that Porsche .

Bryan, any thougths on value of this car?

WPOZZZ 05-01-2008 02:23 PM

the guy that brought the AIR into my friend's shop paid $10k for the car. White/blue, not sure of mileage. The car was a SC that could have been a real cab, or converted to a cab. It was also in very good condition.

As for the worth of the red targa, I'd look at it for its value in parts. targa top, RUF wheels, seats, motor. Not sure about the AIR stuff as it is really dated and fiberglass will deteriorate with time.

Red Book says this serial # is a 1971 911 T.

Dead giveaway of an early longhgood is the "911T" badge on the glovebox, unless he glued this one on!
