Just got a 1976 Porsche 924 in trade. Does anyone have an idea of it's value? It is mainly a parts car...was told it ran b4 I got it, but I can only get it to start and idle...The car is all there and is restorable. Lots of good parts! Any help on the value is appreciated... I have not received the title as of yet, but do know the old owner, so that will hopefully not be a problem... Thanks for your input...

Where are you located? In some areas (Australia) a 924 is a rare car and prices are relatively high. In some parts of the states they litter the streets and are worth practically nothing. The last complete parts car I bought was in 2004 and it cost me $200, it was a 1977 and apparently was running although I stripped it for what I needed and sent it to the scrap heap.

Thanks for the reply...we are in North East Texas. We had figured 300-400, so maybe we weren't too far off... Still haven't gotten the title...we are a little concerned since it came from Oklahoma and we are not sure how to get a lost title up there. (Had to do it here in Texas several times.) Do you think E-Bay is the best selling tool? We only play around with cars (not our profession) and have not been in this particular situation before. We appreciate y'alls input... Steve

You could get 300-400, sounds reasonable. I would put a post up in the for sale section on 924board.org, one of the members from texas might be looking for a parts car.
