Ballpark Valuation: 69 911T Targa

Sadly, I'm thinking about offering up my 1969 911T Targa to a better home. It is a project car, but is drivable. The only thing that doesn't work are the reverse lights. The turn signals can be a bit flaky, too. The tach also doesn't function since I put in an aftermarket ignition.

The car sat in storage for 17 years before a couple local friends 'rescued' it with the intention of parting it out. I bought the car minus the engine and transmission, seats, gas tank and a few other bits. Those parts were transplanted from a '70 coupe that was too rusty to salvage.

It's a project, but it's a drivable car as it is. I can post pics if needed, but I'm wondering what it would be worth.

I admit I got a great deal, but I bought a ONE OWNER 1969 911T coupe last year for $2,000. It needs/needed: brakes gone thru, shift bushings, fuel pump, paint and has rust in the back floor area and the right rocker.

I think you could get 8 or 9 for yours, but it would help to post pictures and describe what it needs.....OR put it on Ebay and let someone from Europe buy it.

Sounds like you scored a deal!

I'll go ahead and post a few pictures, since I'm sure people are interested to see. We all like looking at p-cars!

That exhaust is not on the car, but I still have it. I put the original '69 muffler on it. The engine/trans is from a 70. Ignition is a Procomp, which is a copy of the MSD.

You can see the condition of the paint here. The body is straight and solid. The imitation 15x7 Fuchs sure look nice on her. Driver's side is pretty much the same.

The top of this fender arch is mostly bondo. The other side has a dent aft of the wheel well. I have a pair of fenders from a '73 that were intended to replace the rear fenders for those reasons, plus they're a little wider which will work better with the wheels.

I don't have a whole lot of pictures online, but more can be seen here.

Matt - Yours looks a lot better than the 69 I bought.....I'd say start at 8 or 9 and be prepared to come down a bit if need be. Don't let potential buyers beat you up too much for not having a numbers matching engine, Bruce Anderson sez knock off 10%; some want to cut the price in half....
