THEY TOOK MY MONEY THEN AFTER TWO WEEKS TOLD ME THAT THE TRUCK BROKE DOWN,AND COULDNT TELL ME WHEN IT WILL BE READY TO PICKUP MY AUTO

Thanks for the heads up. Transport is such a slimy business. I only deal directly with driver/owners. Any of these "forwarders" are useless. They put the job up on central dispatch and wait for ANYBODY to take it who says they can haul a car. Since the truck is sub-sub-sub-contracted, nobody seems to have any accountability.

I have cars hauled all the time, some of the forwarders actually do a very good job but you are paying for the convience of using them. Always check the BBB site before sending any money, also not a good idea not to do business wih any one that requires an up front payment before truck arrives. Always pay any deposit with a credit card.

I've never heard of paying upfront for transporting a car.

Some brokers want a non-refundable deposit before arranging for transpo, that's usually a sign to run and fast.

I have never prepaid for a truck trasnport, if you were shippng a car that's a different story. I have used brokers with great results adn vouch for a specific company.

FYI, the local (South Florida) news today are talking about Auto Transport America as a company who have failed to ship dozens of cars since they are going out of business but they have reportedly kept an employee to answer the phoe and return any cars or moneys to the owners.

Ouch, already have the sunroof-need it it one piece though. Ya wanna laugh away that sick feeling in your gut when viewing that clip. Their name is definate NOT on the list!
