if not too rusted from the BATTERY ACID, this T could be converted back to a 911 motor. depends on that + how high it goes.
I could also see somebody finding a crashed Prius and doing a little work. One thing for sure - we are going to see a decent electrical conversion done on a 911 or 912 someday. It will have better wt. balance and will lack a lot of charm and charisma. |

that could be the bargain of the year.
its a shame he tossed the motor and tranny. description suggests that's the original color. rear seats look rust free, no leaks back there. floors look solid too. go to the diary site, its pretty cool. a rust free one owner west coast metallic silver roller.

Looks like a cheap one-owner 911T.

I agree, looks like it can be a great deal to anyone who has a spare 915 and 2.4T engine.

I know about that car, the electric conversion bit of it anyways, with gas prices these days might be worth taking a look at updating the electronic control system, and drive motor .. and keep it electric , if you dont have to drive a long ways to work. Thats IMO, so I just put a high bid on it

electric 911
living out in the country and commuting 40miles each way, makes it impossible to own an electric car. I would love to own one, but the distances are to great.
May be another 5 years the Batteries will be better engineered. So at this point it will be my 912 and my 911T |

7 years or so. that's when some of the oil companies' battery patents start expiring, right?

I will be purchasing a Think! OX electric car in 09 when they come out. They have a visible aluminum frame, get 165 miles on a charge or 125 miles in hilly terrain. Recharges to 80% in an hour and the best part its only 25K! Considering I don't drive 165 miles in a day unless I am taking a vacation I think I will be A-OK with the OX.

Porsche-powered Prius. Brilliant. It's about time to put some balls in a Toyota.

Huh - Kleiner-Perkins again. Those VC's are gonna make an even bigger fortune this time. |

Thats the one. Hey if they make a good product they will make a good fortune. I cannot wait for this one. I will love the day when the only vehicle I fuel up conventionally is my 911 and the rest I can fuel at home. |

For a real oddity, how about locating the Worcester Polytechnic Institute Hybrid Gremlin that ran in the 1970 clean air car race?
