1973 914 on Craigslist
http://atlanta.craigslist.org/cto/866110018.html
Seller sent me a few pics. Has rust so I am not sure if it is a good deal or not. I would not mind picking a 914 as a daily driver but not sure if this is the one. What do you think? |
93% rust free? HA! Wonder how you determine that. I'd be wary. I'd want battery box pics, rocker panels, floor panels, trunk panels, door jams and just about every other panel pics to find rust. Also consider condition of the weather seals. As a daily driver you will want to stay drive. You will want to stay dry. You will want you passenger and "stuff" to be dry too.
Looks more like a project car (and is priced accordingly) than a "driver". That said, if its local, go look at it. Be sure to drive it too. It can be a bit scary on a highway next to car phone wielding suv's knowing they can't see you. |
drivers seat looks like it could be more icu than tlc.

Hey...buy it and fix it up, and I'll buy it from you in a couple years.:D
E55 running like a champ...when it gets driven.SmileWavy |
Stayed away from that one, but ran across another one for a pretty good price. Do all of these have rust on the east coast? This one has it in the floor and rear trunk. What is the going rate on 2.0 914's?

CHeck out 914world.com. Basically pelican's 914 equivalent. Classified section and some good people will help you spend your money.

I am probably going to pick up this car tomorrow(the black one one post above). Funny I kept going back to this one, seller lowered his price.
