New Porsche discounts?
Anyone have any knowledge of dealer discounts on new Porsches? I know sales are way down. I wonder if they will bring back a successor to the RS America, to boost sales.

Nothing like the RS America is in the works, no do I think it would really bolster sales all that much. There is a real niche for that type of stripper car and I personally would love one but Porsches thought is the Cayman can be the entry level car.
The real deal is on the MY2008 911 we just sold a brand new 2008 3.6 coupe at a steep steep discount. I know all the dealers who have any 2008's left would love to sell em. The 2009's started coming in back in Sept and we got our first few C4's and C4's for 2009 and to be honest they are being discounted off sticker but not anywhere near desperation levels.

A buddy just took delivery of a leftover 2008 C4S Targa. List price $113K, he claims he paid $96K. He paid cash (no financing) and claims the dealer didn't try to haggle too much.

We've got a ruby red C4s coupe with a ton of options for a lot less then that on the floor

Hey Trader,
Do you work at Don Rosen? I bought my first Porsche there! 1989 Targa, Black on Black. Loved that car until some drunk kid plowed into it. The car was parked and the kid hit in from the rear and pushed it under a ford pickup truck. Needless to say I was not a very happy camper that day.
