Good morning. I have found a car that will hopefully satisfy my lust for a P-car and have gone through much back and forth email with the CO. We have agreed on a price. The car is located across the country. How does this thing work? I will have the car shipped to me, but how do I conduct the transaction part of things? What is the safest way to do this?
Thanks in advance! |

See post further down- "How do people buy on Pelican"
There's some good info in that thread on long-distance purchases. Go to the trouble to set up and pay for a PPI with a leakdown test, at the shop that you select near the car- don't use the one the seller recommends. The yellow pages are your friend here. I've never done it, but if I were to, I'd fly out to pickup the car- if the PPI went well, and the care was as represented, I'd drive it home. Great way to "get to know each other". Good Luck! |
