Aluminum Wheel Arch Moldings

Does anyone know of somewhere I can purchase the optional wheel arch moldings mentioned in Johnson's book? Here's an excerpt...

"Wheel arch moldings were first offered as optional equipment on the 1969 911E and 911S. There were made of bright anodized aluminum and mounted with aluminum pop-rivits. They were available as options on 1970 and 1971 911E and 911S and all 1972 and 1973 models except the Carrera 2.7."

...and here's an example:

They are unavailable new to my knowledge.. don't know of anyone doing reproductions either. They are also difficullt to find in decent used condition.

I remember the old days, that was one of the main pieces of trim that folks wanted to get rid of. It almost never made it back onto a car after a respray!

I would try posting your question over on the early S Registry, someone may know of repros.

Thanks, onboost. I went ahead and posted on the Early S Reg board. IMHO, the moldings are a nice touch to help continue the swooping lines of the car; esp. if you have the chrome strips on the end of the bumpers and the S rocker molding.
