75 911 s
Having owned a few pre `70 Porsches I`m now looking at a 75 S. I has 155K on the clock. It is relatively clean and looks like a candidate. I`m familiar with 2 litre cars but not later ones. The car has been repainted the original silver and rust seems not to be a factor. It has been in Denver since new. Asking price is $16K which I believe is high. Any thoughts about buying this one for investment purposes? If I could buy it for $9K I think I could come out alright.............. Your thoughts?
Thanks, Jeff Winter Denver, Colo |

$16k is high for a 75 S.
Your money would be better spent on a nice SC. - The fact that it is called an "S" is nothing but nomenclature.. it's nothing special like a pre 74 "S" -2.7 engine in the 75 can be real problems if it has not had a proper rebuild. - Although it shows no signs of rust there could be some hiding. 74 & 75 are non-galvanized bodies. Good luck and happy hunting!

for 9k it would most likly be a car you could drive have fun and then sell for what you have into it even if you had to put some money intoit . remember these cars have a pretty bad wrap being mid year cars. if there is no rust and the head studs have been addressed, there is nothing wrong with these cars. and in 1974-1975 there is a difference between a standard 911 and a 911s the 911 had 150h.p. and the 911s had the approx. 175h.p. after 75 they were all 911Ss and all the same h.p.
