I shipped a 915 from MD to the Bay area for around $70 via FedEx..
You may want to try Forward Air.

yep, take it off the pallet an go to a furniture store and get a cover that couch's come in and wrap it, put in a large roughneck tote fom lowes, duck tape heavily and buy extra insurance. ship fed ex or dhl ground for under 80.00. good luck and happy holidays
if you wanna leave on pallet, try shipmyengine.com for under 150.00, or uship.com is great too. I just had a whole car brought from calif to alabama for 784.00!!! |

Tote box shipping warning
I can show you a trans with a broken clutch cable boss ect due to inadequate crating for shipping
![]() I crate mine like this shipped cross country with UPS $84 cost of materials less than you can imagine, probly less than the tote and tape, (try saying that 3 times real fast in the morning) and you need not purchase extra insurance, peace of mind is better than hassles of trying to get insurance money back and dealing with a damaged trans. second photo, the trans had to be totally enclosed for International shipping(UK) here in the US it doesnt need to be totally enclosed. this way is very safe as the trans is bolted to the base and braced at the rear. Dont trust a tote box or ?.... rather dont trust shippers to be gentle with your stuff ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

red shows the bolt thrus where trans is secured
you can drop this off the back of a truck it's so safe and solid trucks around easily, I usually drop it off at UPS but they have picked up also for $4 extra materials: 2) 2x4....2) 2x2 and some scraps I had and bolts. just sent one to Virginia $85 but that was a 901, 915 weighs a tad more.
