off topic ***optical illusion car part***
it took me a few minutes to adjust mine eyes to this picture
is it just my perspective or is this pic like an illusion? is the round shape concave or convex??? deep as in a pool or a mound?? any others eyes pick this up? close your eyes and stare back at the shape we ought to start a thread posting partial pics of certain parts or areas of our cars and see if you can ID....sorta like they have on bring a trailer...a Whatzit... mystery photo...

That does look unique. That shadow changes the look from above the tank.

You're absolutely right! Without knowing what it was, I immediately saw the circular area as concave, and on a part I could not identify. Once I "saw" a gas tank, the circular area became convex and it's now difficult to see it anyother way.
