'71 S roller for sale with bonus discount add-ons
I think the '71 S Bobboloo is selling represents an interesting strategy for people stuck somewhere between a fully-restored car and a collection of parts. (I think a lot of us can relate to that situation.)
He's got the roller up for sale at a low starting bid, but the "add ons" available to the winning bidder are all priced at -40% to -70% of market value. I think someone doing the math will easily see $11K or more in value there, including the roller and the discounts. But I'm interested to see how many people take the time to calculate what the ultimate value is. The car is on eBay, auction #270328117921

Well, so far, it looks like people may be having a hard time comprehending the discounted optional extras...

In the description of the car, Bobboloo says that the original owner ordered the car with standard seats rather than sport seats (which were actually standard in the sense that they came with the car). Would this have resulted in a lower original invoice price, or a higher one? It's a strange decision considering the other optional goodies added on by the original buyer, such as the muffler skirt.

I wonder if that's true around the world. In the US we take things as 'standard' if the importer, PCNA declared them so. I think ROW, it's rarer to find Ts with S appearance group, fuchs and 5-speeds, for instance.
