Yeah, and the guy's adamant it's a targa--even though the VIN indicates a coupe. Go figure...

The bids are from O history accounts on both the car and the bike for sale.

The point is that the seller insists on the car beeing a targa, when the picture clearly shows a coupe.

Did you asked why?
Can it be treated as "missrepresentation" by ebay? only becouse VIN is Targa and actually car is converted to coupe!?
just a thought.

everyone so EZ to jump the gun.
So if someone updated long hood to short hood ,does he has to stick with the year car looks like or it was actually made?

your kidding about converting to a coupe right?

as a targa doesnt share the same tub as a coupe and this is not possible.
maybe if you cut two cars in half and tried to graft them togather.

point is the guy selling car has no clue what hes selling1 as upset as you got over it, its not you is it.

cheers ed:D

You nail it.
That is my point. Don't like the seller or the way he sells- move on. don't trash him behind his back. ask him what is what and why, and if he needs it, educate him.

And in regards of what possible to do and what is not. EVERYTHING IS POSSIBLE ! all depends on time, work and $$$$$ you willing to spend.
I probably open can of worms , with this statement. But whoevere replays to it ,before you do - THINK .

Conversing with this guy reminds me of a sign a fellow co worker had posted above his desk. It said "Arguing with an engineer is like wrestling with a pig in mud no one wins but the pig enjoys it."

Point the OP was trying to make is that the car IS NOT a TARGA but a COUPE. If an owner of a Porsche 911 does not know the difference between a Targa and Coupe, what else doesn't he know about the car? It looks to be a 88 coupe commemorative edition. This is a Porsche forum and this post would be very heplful to someone who is new to the Porsche world who may just be looking at this car.

BTW anything is POSSIBLE? but not PROBABLE...Would take a real special (demented individual..:D ) to convert a Targa to a Coupe..Pockets would have to be real deep..and head would have to be empty..
