Porsche Body Shop Recommendation
Hello Pelican Porsche Pushers,
Can anyone recommend a good Porsche Body shop in Silicon Valley, i.e. San Jose, Santa Clara, Milpitas, etc? Need some paint work on my 911 and was wondering who is doing a good job these days? Bob |

Check with Don's Auto Werks (donsautowerks.com)in Campbell or Tony Heyer (heyerperformance.com) in Mtn. View. They are Porsche service centers but might have a recommendation for body work place. Good luck!

You can try Body Style in San Jose on Brokaw Rd next to Fry's. Cecil used to race Porsche's in his younger days. It's nice to not explain the idiosyncrasies of an early 911's to a body man. I had my rear package tray repaired there. They did a nice job.
I went to Cecil after I tried out Yeaman Autobody (Scott Yeaman) in Palo Alto. Came recommended by the PCA volks. Unfortunately, the passenger side footwell was repaired like it was done at Maaco's. Instead of a small slot to put the top of the foot board in, (like it was when I took it in), they added a huge piece of curved metal welded to the pan and the firewall. Then they sheet metal screwed my foot board to it. Guess they never done that part of a 911 before. I wouldn't care, but I paid "Porsche" prices to have this fixed correctly. Then Scott told me he'd fix it (among a bunch of little things) and never did even after going back twice. FWIW. |
