'82 911SC Coupe - A good deal?

Hey all,

You've been helpful before as I search for my 911. I've come across this car which, to me, seems like a good deal. Briefly, it's a third owner car with 77K, all service records, always garaged, clean carfax, pictures seems to indicate carrera tensioners, etc. Check out the pictures below and let me know your opinion of $13,500.

Looks like a nice one (even gaps in the body panels, etc.) and I believe it's in the right price range, although toward the higher end IMO. Just do your research and, as we all have learned...PPI!!!

Looks to be in fair shape, engine sound pad is falling.

Check for rust underneath and in the wheel wells.
Hard to tell the condition of paint and windows seals from the photos.

Great price for year looks striaght and clean. Pull the battery out and push around the front suspension pan. This can be very costly if it needs replacement. One of my tell tells to see if the car has the mileage as advertised is check the fan shroud and blade for corrosion and soot.

I know a little about this car. It's 10 min. from me. I considered it when the 2nd owner had it for sale @ 75k miles . I drove it twice. Spoke to the mechanic who worked on it. This owner has had it for sale off and on since last spring. I think he has owned it since 05. I would PPI and CHECK THE HEAD STUDS. Shoot me a PM if you would like more info..

I just bought an 82 SC with 120K miles, good overall condition and complete records. I paid $11500 and I think that was a pretty good deal.
