Soliciting opinions on a 88 Targa on ebay ( Item # 220387440536 )
78K miles and a buy it now price of $15K, which is reasonable. The part that is disconcerting is that the seller in now residing out of the country, the car has a lien and the seller cannot arrange showing of the car. ![]() Am I being paranoid or does this seem like a scam? I would certainly be hesitant to commit $ to an overseas owner, unable to show the car which has a lien.

To protect yourself, you would pay-off the lien directly to the bank and remit the balance to the seller.
Nonetheless, if you don't have the stomach for it, I wouldn't get involved. Could end up being a good deal or a paperwork nightmare. Seller appears legit, however. |

Be very careful. I live not too far from the seller and have asked several times to see the car. The seller said no
Here is the rub. If, as the seller says the car is for sale locally how then can he not show the car? odd |

Thats been run on ebay many times. Do they really expect you to buy a car if they wont let you come and see the car? I know the price is attractive but is it realyl worth the risk?
