The Purple Monster finally sold...

After a long, long run on E-Bay, the "Purple Monster" sold today @ BJ. Hope the new owner is a Pelican.

Yes, that's a special-order factory interior color:

Does anyone know what the mileage was on the car? $58K, not sure if that is a bargain plus the 10% Barret-Jackson fee.

Not sure of the mileage, but a quality built 700+hp 3.8l, TT motor has to cost about $40k to build, no? I would buy it for the motor alone. That purple interior would give me a headache after a few miles.

I'd guess over $50k for the engine if done right. But once it's a "used' engine, its worth 1/2 at best. Even a well build engine won't last that long at those power levels.
