Saw a 1963 356 For Sale What do you think...?

I have always liked the 356...But I do not know much about pricing.

I saw a very nice one on the street today with a For Sale sign...If it was white, I might be tempted.

Sign on the car said:
New Brakes, Tires, Clutch, Transmission, Battery, Interior 500 miles on rebuilt engine.

Anyways here are some pictures...Let's play 'guess the price'

I work in the art world...Lots of dealers looking for creative ways to make money...
I thought the price seemed low for what looked like a very nice car

$25,000

Let me know if anybody wants his contact details.

Also depends on the motor. What does it say on the engine lid???
60 = normal, S = super (like the white coupe I had), or S-90 = super 90 ???

Nothing on the lid to denote the engine...It did have drum brakes all around.

Is he asking $25k? That seems like a decent asking price to me, although I am don't follow the 356 market in any meaningful way. I've seen a few nice clean 356 cars come on the market in recent months, and this one shows pretty nicely in the photos. None of the cars I've come across that look as nice have been priced at $25k.

I've been trying to follow the 356 pricing just out of interest and have noticed a slight drop given the ecomomy. I saw the following on CL. It's a '64 356C which is basically the same as a '62 or '63 B Super. The C has disc brakes all around.
The car shown by the OP probably has the Normal version 1600cc motor dropped from production starting in '64. Not as desirable as the Super or Super-90 versions and not worth $25k IMO.

Here's anther ad just posted. Very desirable sounding example for the $$$.
One of the finest models of the 356 series IM $.02 O. Too bad no pics of the body are there. And matching numbers would have to be verified of course:
